I know anti-social behaviour (ASB) remains a concern for Dorset residents. This was not being gripped and as a candidate I made it a campaign priority which translated in office as a priority in the police and crime plan.
I ensured Operation Relentless was introduced which made ASB a priority for Dorset Police. Together with their greater visibility and good partnership working this has meant a 25% reduction in ASB across Dorset.
I introduced the Operation Relentless Community Fund which has used over £117000 to help 31 places across Dorset reduce ASB. In some places this has almost totally eradicated it.
ASB is now being gripped but we can do even better.
I will:
1. Increase visible foot patrols in hotspot areas
2. Expand the 100 days of Summer which was so successful in reducing ASB by 40% in Weymouth
3. Continue to support local initiatives through Operation Relentless Community Grant Funding which is open now for this year.
4. Continue the Fix The Future Funding to support young people and divert them away from ASB and crime.
Re-elect me on May 2nd and I will continue to deliver the 7 year plan that is working for Dorset #Safer With Sidwick
